If you have not been on an exchange so far and you want to feel the charms of Erasmus
\nthat everyone talks about when they return home, or if you have been on an exchange
\nand want to contribute to others during their mobility, now is the time to become a
\nBuddy!
\nErasmus Student Network (ESN) Zagreb is a part of the largest European student
\norganisation Erasmus Student Network, which is a key volunteer student
\norganisation in international higher education in Europe, and has more than 15
\nthousand volunteers! One of the ways we help international and local students is
\nESNbuddy – a project that aims to assign an incoming international student with an
\n\u201cESNbuddy\u201d who is a local student willing to help an exchange student stand on his feet
\nin the first weeks in a new country.
\nAll you have to do to become a Buddy is fill out your Papaya profile and answer a few
\nquestions, and our Buddy Coordinator will find the perfect international student for
\nyou! If you are still not sure if you need to apply, and you are looking for new
\nexperiences and want to expand your circle of friends, then the answer is yes!
\nBut what else can you gain from this memorable experience? That’s an easy question!
\nYou will get the opportunity to create unforgettable memories and find a lifelong friend, and you can also get answers to questions about studying abroad, learning new
\nlanguages or learning first hand what it is like to live in another country. You will also be
\nentitled to an ESNcard – a membership card with which you can get many discounts
\nacross Europe – Ryanair, Flixbus and many others – and all you need to do is fill out the
\nform and come to the ESN office!
