General info about ERASMUS+ programme

 

Erasmus+ is the largest European Union program for education, training, youth, and sport. Erasmus+ aims to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and employability of European citizens, as well as to improve education, training, and employment in the fields of youth and sport. It is particularly focused on connecting the education, training, and youth sectors with the business sector, and is open to their joint projects. For the next three-year period, from 2025/2026 to 2027/2028, based on the decision of the Dean, Prof. Dr Sc. Marko Samardžija, Assoc. Prof. Dr Sc. Sven Menčik has been appointed as the institutional coordinator for ERASMUS+ and ECTS.

 

Committee for the Implementation of ERASMUS+ Activities  Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb. We will actively work to enhance the international recognition and mobility of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb through academic activities involving students, teachers, and non-teaching staff conducted outside the home institution. The aim is to promote the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and to acquire new knowledge, skills, and experience in an international environment. International mobility through the ERASMUS+ programme is one of the key tools at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb for strengthening internationalisation, improving the quality of education, and fostering academic cooperation between institutions. This will contribute to the recognition of the home institution and the University in the international environment.

The Erasmus+ programme is the European Union initiative supporting education, training, youth, and sport in Europe. The Erasmus+ budget at the European level for 2021–2027 is estimated at €26.2 billion, almost double that of the previous programme (2014–2020). The 2021–2027 programme places a strong emphasis on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. It supports priorities and activities under the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan, and the Skills Agenda for Europe. The Erasmus+ programme will be implemented through the following activities for the period 2021–2027.
