Steps to enrol

Fill out the online Application_form and collect supporting documents needed to become a VEFUNIZG student including the proof of payment of the application fee. Please send all documents in one .pdf  format file if possible. Do not use Google drive/One drive options or do not send more than one mail. We have a lot of applications so some mails can be missed!

Please send the documents to the following e-mail address: english.studies@vef.hr.

In the subject line, please include the title: Admissions for English studies and your last name.

Deadline for application submission: The first admission round opens in on the 8th of January 2024 at 8:00 CET. The deadline for submitting a completed application form, including payment of the €50 application fee, is on the 17th of January 2024 at 12:00 CET. Admissions decisions will be announced in next 7 days  and a maximum of 20 places will be awarded.  All unsuccessful candidates will be considered in the second round without any need for reapplication. Successful candidates will then have three weeks to secure their place by paying the tuition fees. Please check your mail promptly and regularly!!!!

In the first round, priority will be given to applicants who have already completed their high school education, although students in their last year can still apply.

The second admission round opens on the 27th of March 2024 at 8:00 CET. The deadline is on the 5th of April 2024 at 12:00 CET and decisions will be announced in next 7 days. A additional (max) ten places will be awarded as well as any places from the first application round that have not been confirmed in accordance with the terms and conditions. All unsuccessful candidates will be considered in the third round without any need for reapplication.

The third admission round will open on the 17th of  June 2024 at 8:00 CET with a deadline on the 26th of June 2024 at 12:00 CET. All remaining places will be awarded in the next couple of days.

Should any available places be left after the third round, a final admission round will be held from the 28th of  August 2024 until the 6th of September 2024, with the final decision being announced within next 5 days.

Candidates will be selected based on their academic potential (grades, awards, etc.) and their personal experience.

The fee must be paid within three weeks from the date of receiving formal Letter of Acceptance in electronic format. The payment of your tuition fee is an essential part of your registration.

Current tuition fees, payment deadlines. Payment is made directly into our bank account. Remember to quote your name when making a payment. This is important! Please write your name TUITION FEE: JOHN SMITH, Academic year 2024/2025.

Plan early to ensure timely payment for study costs and watch for deadlines!

In order to obtain the first temporary residence permit you would need the evidence proving the enrolment as a full-time student, and also the proofs of the financial credibility, accommodation and health insurance policy.

For the candidates who need visa the travel health insurance covering first two months of your stay in Croatia will be good enough to get the residence permit in respective Croatian diplomatic representative body before entering the country.

Later, after your arrival to Zagreb, you will purchase the health insurance policy from the Croatian Health Insurance Fund for the rest of your stay.

Candidates who need visa: an application for the issuance of the First temporary residence permit and Visa may be submitted in respective Croatian diplomatic representative body before entering the country.

A foreigner who do not need visa to enter the Republic of Croatia, an application for the issuance of the First temporary residence permit may submit to the competent body in Croatia.

Learn about transportation options to get you to Zagreb. Besides regular flights, there are also low budget companies offering direct flights to Zagreb and/or other nearby Croatian cities (Zadar, Rijeka, Pula, Split, Dubrovnik, Osijek).
