Značajan se fokus posljednjih godina u istraživanjima skupine stavlja na antimikrobnu rezistenciju, unapređenje sustava sigurnosti hrane, inovacijama u proizvodnji mesnih i mliječnih proizvoda, povezivanje cjelokupnog ciklusa uzgoja životinja sa kvalitetom i sigurnošću proizvoda te istraživanjem stajališta hrvatskih potrošača.

Research of sea mammals conducted at the Veterinary Faculty includes research of living animals in their habitats, but also post-mortem examinations of all available corpses.

The subject of the research group are changes to the fatty acid composition of individual organs and the transport of lipids through cell membranes in Types 1 and 2 Diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

Research into large wild animals began at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Zagreb in the 1980’s, which makes our research group one of the longest-running in Europe.
