
The VetNEST Summer School of Zoonoses was traditionally held in Dubrovnik, this year in cooperation with several renowned institutions: Faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Vienna, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine University of Skopje, Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb, Clinic for Infectious Diseases “Dr. Fran Mihaljević” and Croatian Institute of Public Health. 22 students from 8 member countries of the VetNEST CEEPUS network participated in the summer school from April 14 to 18, 2025. 12 teachers participated in the summer school and provided the course participants with knowledge in the areas of viral and bacterial infectious diseases of wildlife, livestock, with a focus on different production and transportation systems, and the impact of zoonoses on human health with a multidisciplinary approach. The lessons are organized through lectures and many workshops that encourage the students to participate interactively in the program.
