Research of sea mammals conducted at the Veterinary Faculty includes research of living animals in their habitats, but also post-mortem examinations of all available corpses.

The subject of the research group are changes to the fatty acid composition of individual organs and the transport of lipids through cell membranes in Types 1 and 2 Diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

The complexity of conservation issues will be addressed and students will be provided with the tools to navigate through strategies ensuring the survival of many many species all over the world.
